SWAG store is OPEN!
Twice a year we hope to be able to present cash scholarships to those students who display Brysonstrong attributes.
First, to a senior football player. Football was such a strength to Bryson and as a team, they showed so much love and support that he wanted so much to repay.
Second, scholarships for outgoing seniors students to go towards continued education. Maple. Mountain High School and the student body did so much for Bryson's spirit: Fundraisers, love, acknowledgement and encouragement! His fight would NOT have been the same without this school and community around him. It was quite incredible and overwhelming to watch. We hope to be an example to every school and every community as to how to help other families and students facing similar challenges.
Most students and athletes are going through very difficult circumstances that most people will never know. Not every challenge is as visible as fighting cancer. However, many times the coaches and teachers see it and know the situation. They see the athlete power through trials at home and school, and other personal challenges many may not know about. These challenges may not only be physical, but mental and emotional. The mental and emotional part of getting through challenges
is the toughest part.
Bryson showed these attributes as he faced and accepted his own fate. These are the same attributes required for the end of year scholarship to go towards secondary schooling, which was so
important to Bryson.
